Go-to-Market voucher NRW
Go-to-Market voucher NRW: your prototype, 70% funded
Founded in North Rhine-Westphalia within the last 3 years and ready to turn your idea into a digital prototype? The Go-to-Market voucher covers 70% of external services — up to €35,000 in grants. decivo builds the prototype at a fixed price, with a written scope that fits straight into your project description. Application deadline: 31 October 2026.
No funding consultancy, no promise: the Innovationsförderagentur NRW (Projektträger Jülich) decides. Figures as of 14 September 2026.

Are you eligible?
The FAQ of the Innovationsförderagentur lists the conditions. In short — all of them must hold:
- Non-listed micro-enterprise: fewer than 10 employees and at most €2,000,000 annual turnover or balance sheet total.
- Founded at most 3 years before the day of application — first commercial-register entry or trade registration counts.
- Registered office in NRW for the whole project. Moving to another state or abroad triggers a full claw-back.
- No profits distributed yet, no takeover of another business (10 % rule), not formed by a merger.
- The project has not started: only services delivered inside the project period can be claimed.
- Coach and industry mentor — two different people — for up to 12 months, at least 1 meeting per quarter.
- No other public grant for the same expenses. Combining with Gründungsstipendium.NRW is allowed.
Special cases — non-profit start-ups, spin-offs, associations — are covered in the agency's FAQ.
What the voucher pays for — and what we deliver against it
The FAQ names four groups of eligible expenses. Our modules map onto the first two; coach and mentor are deliberately not us.
Direct prototype development
Software, product design, UI/UX
Software creation, hardware development, product and interface design, creation or licensing of external content.
Indirect, with direct project relevance
Business model, market, go-to-market
Business model development, market, product and target-group analyses, marketing and sales strategy, tool training and roll-out.
Material
Pre-products and licences
Purchase of pre-products and partial solutions for the prototype, including licence fees.
Coaching
Coach and mentor services
Coaching and further consulting by the coach and the industry mentor are eligible as well.
Our modules for the funded prototype
Innovation Workshop · €7,500
Product definition and scope
Hypotheses, target group, the core of the prototype — the written basis for the project description and for every module after it.
Clickable Prototype · €3,500
Product and interface design
A clickable prototype you can put in front of pilot customers before a line of production code exists.
Code Prototype · €12,500
Software creation, production-ready
The working prototype as clean, documented code that you own — tests, EU hosting, no lock-in.
Prototype Loop · €4,500
Further development in fixed steps
Each loop has a written scope, a result and an end. UX Validation Loop (€1,350) adds user testing when you need it.
The guideline names no seat requirement for the service provider — only expenses to related persons and affiliated companies are excluded. decivo is based in Baden-Württemberg; what counts is your registered office in NRW. And we are deliberately not your coach: coach and mentor must be independent people, proven separately.

How it works
First call (15 min.)
Idea, founding date, stage. We tell you honestly whether a funded prototype is realistic for you — and if not, which route fits instead.
Scope and fixed-price offer
Modular, in writing, with the expenses itemised the way the project description needs them. No hourly rates, no open ends.
Secure coach and mentor
Two different people. The coach proves at least 3 start-up coaching references from the last 3 years; the mentor signs a commitment declaration and brings a network to established companies.
Apply via the EFRE.NRW.online-Portal
One-stage procedure, processed in order of receipt, deadline 31 October 2026, 16:00. Nothing you commission before the grant notice can be claimed.
Grant notice — then we build
Delivery in fixed modules inside the 12-month project period. Fund calls at least once per calendar half-year, with a list of receipts.
Prototype and proof of use
Handover-ready code and documentation from us; a final report from you. Publicity duties: EU emblem, ministry logo, Go-to-Market logo.
Why decivo for the funded prototype
A fixed price is a fundable offer
The expenses are known before you apply. An hourly rate is an estimate — a fixed package price is a number the application can carry.
Twelve months is plenty
Prototypes take days rather than weeks with AI-accelerated implementation and human review at every step. The project period is not the bottleneck.
Production-ready, not throwaway
You own the code, with tests and documentation. Any team can keep building — the next financing round starts from a product, not from a demo.
We know what breaks in AI-built MVPs
Our free decivo Scan checks AI-built apps against more than 150 rules — security, GDPR, accessibility. We build prototypes so they pass it.

Frequently asked
- Who can get the Go-to-Market voucher?
- Non-listed micro-enterprises (fewer than 10 employees, at most €2,000,000 turnover or balance sheet total) founded at most 3 years before the day of application, with their registered office in North Rhine-Westphalia for the whole project. No profits distributed yet, no takeover, no merger. The funding body is the Innovationsförderagentur NRW (Projektträger Jülich).
- How much money is there?
- 70% of eligible expenses, up to €50,000 of expenses — so a grant of at most €35,000. The minimum grant is €15,000, which means eligible expenses from roughly €21,500. Each start-up can apply once.
- What is the deadline?
- Complete applications must be filed by 31 October 2026, 16:00, via the EFRE.NRW.online-Portal or in writing — subject to available funds and processed in order of receipt. Apply early rather than late.
- Does the agency have to be based in NRW?
- No. The guideline ties the registered office of the start-up to NRW, not the provider's. Excluded are only expenses to related persons and affiliated companies — for example a company whose managing director is also a shareholder of your start-up. decivo is based in Baden-Württemberg and builds for start-ups across Germany.
- Can we start before the grant notice?
- Only services delivered within the project period can be claimed, and that period starts with the grant notice. Anything you commission earlier you pay yourself — so first the application, then the order.
- What exactly is required of coach and mentor?
- Two different people. The coach needs start-up coaching experience — at least four of the listed competencies (product definition, business model, financial planning, pitch decks, customer and investor negotiations) and 3 reference projects from the last 3 years. The mentor brings a proven network to established companies for pilot customers and signs a commitment declaration. At least 1 meeting per quarter; their services are eligible. decivo is neither.
- Are decivo's fixed prices eligible?
- Software creation, product design and interface design (UI/UX) are named explicitly as direct prototype development; business model and market analysis as indirect services. Our offer itemises expenses along those lines so it can go into the project description. The final decision rests with the funding body.
- How is the grant paid out?
- Via fund calls against paid invoices — at least 1 per calendar half-year, more often if you like. No annual reports during the project; one final report in the proof of use is enough.
- Can we combine the voucher with other funding?
- Not for the same expenses. Combining with Gründungsstipendium.NRW is expressly allowed; the cumulation rules of the General Block Exemption Regulation apply.
- We are older than three years or no longer a micro-enterprise — what then?
- Then MID-Digitalisierung (marketable digital products based on AI, machine learning, data mining, real-time processing or AR/VR) or NRW.BANK.Impuls KI (AI for your own operations) may fit. We have laid out both on our AI funding NRW page.
- What happens after the prototype?
- The code is yours. Many teams continue in prototype loops, some go to a rebuild once the market has answered. Our free decivo Scan checks the running product from outside at any time.
